You don't have to touch or restart any other services. They already
will be using the default location. Yes, you use something like
REG.EXE (resource kit tool) to set/reset the value around NET START
SYSLOGD.

Really has nothing to do with text file vs. reg. The prob is that
IMail is not completely modular, so shares some (UI-configured)
settings.
