I took a look last time and didn't see anything out of the ordinary. I have
been CPU utilization watching closing since I installed SP 4.0. So far it
looks good, but . . .

yawn, all the usual culprits:


purging and defragging the (dedicated) Imail spool/webmail partition

purging and defragging the (dedicated) Imail mailbox partitions

looking for (newly) huge .mbx files

You can also look at the IMGate connections (and connection refused) per hour to the Imail server to see if there is some spike there sending Imail SMTPD into overload and panic. ime, it's very easy to overwhelm Imail.

or if you don't have internet access to Imail port 25 blocked, then maybe something is attacking Imail port 25 in parallel with Imgate deliveries. profile the SMTPD connects/hour in the Imail logs.
