Jeff,

This covers incoming messages, are you using anything to capture outgoing?

Also, this brings up another point, will a rule setup to catch all outgoing messages
catch Webmail? I know certain functions are bypassed when a user composes a message
though the web interface.

We've been doing this for about a year and half now. First create a
user (We use AutoArchive) and set the Copy All Mail account to this in
the administrator (services).

Create a second user (We use Archive) for the archived email. Each
month, move the main.* files from the AutoArchive account folder to
the Archive folder and rename them for the month they cover. We use
a name scheme like this:

200401-January-2004

This way they sort by the Month and Year. Access this account
through the web mail interface and you'll see each of these renamed
MBX files is a folder in the mailbox.

We also burn the files to CD each month for backup, and depending
on the amount of mail and space available you may only keep the last
six months or whatever on line, the rest on CD.
