Yes, it is possible to have Imail use AD users. There are a couple of KB articles on this and there is information in the archives as well.   The percentage of configurations running on a Domain Controller has to do more with intended use of Imail, than issues running it on a Domain Controller. I want account integration between AD and Imail. If a user changes their password in AD, then IMail uses the same credential. If a user is deleted in AD, then the IMail account is also deleted. Is this possible? If yes, does IMail have to be installed on a Domain Controller?   I noticed in the recently published IMail survey results that only around 5% of those running IMail installed it on a Domain Controller.
