[IMail Forum] Earthlink- Refuse again

Hi;

 

2 weeks ago I reported that Earthlink is giving us the following error:

20040317 064539 127.0.0.1       SMTP (0128131C) 550-EarthLink does not recognize your computer (12.5.20.81) as connecting from an EarthLink connection.  If this is in error, please contact technical support.

At that time we had two DNS servers listed in IMail settings and per Scott's comments I took the 2nd DNS out.

 

After stopping/starting the SMTP the problem still existed.

 

So I cleared the cache and the stale records in the DNS server .. after this the issue went away and we could send email to Earthlink.

 

NOW- almost a week later the problem is back.  we get the same error.

 

We have no problem with any other server or mail.  It is just Earthlink.

 

I have tested the DNS servers with the DNSSTUFF.com and all appear to be functioning as expected.

 

Google search and archive search shows other people have had issue with Earthlink and AOL on occasions .. appearing and disappearing.

 

Any ideas what could cause this..  I am at a loss..
