The quality of the spam blocking is largely related to efforts by the administer and the tools available to him or her. IMail has very few tools, Declude has many.

Thanks for the pointer to that article, I read it before but it still doesn't help me out, as SMTP hasn't ever crashed. The only filters I use in Imail are the statistical filters and the url-blacklist. They seem to be the most effective aspects. My main problem lies in that the spam is in fact being trapped, however no headers are being added by Imail. One solution was made available to me by another user, who recommended changing the settings so that headers were added, and then using an inbound filter on the email domain to grab those select messages before the user got them. It's a good idea, but with 17 domains to deal with, if I can somehow use those filters in connection with Declude, my life would become worlds easier.
I'm going to do a little trial and error, first with the URL-BL which mops up a fair amount of email. Out of 8200 blocked SPAM emails, approximately 1466 emails get past Declude for me, but are snagged by the stat and urlbl features of Imail.

Just had an idea, not original I know, but wanted to see if it could work.
I plan on setting Imail Antispam to just add X-headers to the incoming message, then I plan on setting up a filter or a couple of filters in my copy of Declude to scan for these X-headers, and add a point value to them so the normal weighting system would snag the messages.
My only question being, which is run first when a message comes in, Declude or Imail Antispam? I think it would work if Imail's antispam ran first. Apologies if the answer is obvious, but it's 8:15am and I'm not even 1/5 through my first cup of coffee.
Thanks, Sam
