I should have mentioned that I checked the help file first. ;) It was not very helpful in answering my question.
And I quote the helpfile: Forward to. Forwards the message to an e-mail address. You must also enter an e-mail address in the text box to the right of this option. If no address is entered, messages will be sent to the root address and stored in a mailbox called "bulk". Endquote. It's ambiguous at best. You could read this as "it forwards the email without sending to the original recipient", or you could read it as "it forwards a copy to a box you designate". -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Sanford Whiteman Sent: Monday, March 29, 2004 12:25 PM To: Don Kiiskila Subject: Re: [IMail Forum] Spam filtering - forwarding to a box > My question is simple: does the "forward to" option stop the email > from reaching a user's box, or does it simply forward a *copy* of > the email to the target box (i.e. "spam")?? The forward option does not perform the original local delivery. You may find the help file to be of assistance. :) --Sandy ------------------------------------ Sanford Whiteman, Chief Technologist Broadleaf Systems, a division of Cypress Integrated Systems, Inc. e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] SpamAssassin plugs into Declude! http://www.mailmage.com/download/software/freeutils/SPAMC32/Release/ To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/ To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/
