For us we just added the domains in our whitelist. For example there is a single line entry of
microworks.net
in the whitelist and I can send forwarded email that gets trapped to users on the system without fear of the message being trapped again.
You definitely do *not* want to whitelist your own domain. Spammers can use any domain they want in their return address; many use the same domain that they are sending to, hoping that it will be whitelisted.
