I understand that and that is a risk we are just having to run. I could of course whitelist the email addresses of everyone on the server but I do not want to take that kind of time.

If a spammer sends through the server "spoofing" the from address we will have to deal with that at that time.


You definitely do *not* want to whitelist your own domain. Spammers can use any domain they want in their return address; many use the same domain that they are sending to, hoping that it will be whitelisted.
