Scot Smith gives me some confidence to upgrade to 8.1 with HF1. I have been holding out due to the amount forum traffic. I will probably wait until after Easter as I will out of the office for a few days.

We don't use LDAP. We don't use an external database. I have yet to experience a single problem with 8.1 HF1. Actually in my opinion my email server is now running better than it was with 8.05. But given the size of my operation here, this may not be consistent with a much larger volume of users and messages. But that's my 2 cents.
