Hi folks.

I'm running 6.06 (upgrading in a few weeks) and many of my users can't connect to the mail server to send mail every so often. It's intermittent. They can receive mail, but can't authenticate to send it. They keep getting the pop-up box in their mail client to type in their password. I have experienced it myself.

I've looked through these boards and checked the KB, but though they mention things like this, the work arounds haven't helped.

At these times, I can ping the DNS from the server. The spool does get inordinately large and I will sometimes use the command line exe to wipe it down. People can use the webmail at these times, but can't authenticate. The server's CPU is low, RAM is low. There are only 500 users on one system. No Mail Rely is set.

In case you don't know, I'm still, after 4 years with Imail, a newbie, so please try to explain your suggestions (if you have any).

Any suggestions would be welcome.
