Even though we have an effective antivirus/antispam solution in place now for Imail, my boss has asked me to research MessageXchange from US Internet(http://usinternet.com/msx.htm).
I would like to know if anyone is using MessageXchange or knows anything about their antispam techniques. They receive the incoming email and process it before forwarding it to the customer. Not sure if it requires an MX change to point to them, or if we forward it to them first. At $300 a month for 150 users, it seems kinda expensive compared to all of the in-house solutions available. According to their ads and website, it looks like it simply uses a blacklist, a signature file, content filters, and multiple antivirus solutions. Sounds like some of the retail products commonly used by some of us that interact with Imail! :o) We already do everything they offer, or have the ability to do it, except the signature file comparison which could be added with MessageSniffer. Does the signature file comparison from MessageSniffer do a good job of catching spam? It looks like the same concept. Thanks, Douglas Traylor MIS Department Harbison-Fischer Mfg Co.
