Even though we have an effective antivirus/antispam solution in place now for Imail, my boss has asked me to research MessageXchange from US Internet(http://usinternet.com/msx.htm).
I would like to know if anyone is using MessageXchange or knows anything about their antispam techniques.
I hate to ask, but if you have an effective antivirus/antispam solution, why are you looking to change? Without knowing the answer to that question, it's hard to know what to say.
They receive the incoming email and process it before forwarding it to the customer. Not sure if it requires an MX change to point to them, or if we forward it to them first. At $300 a month for 150 users, it seems kinda expensive compared to all of the in-house solutions available.
According to their ads and website, it looks like it simply uses a blacklist, a signature file, content filters, and multiple antivirus solutions. Sounds like some of the retail products commonly used by some of us that interact with Imail! :o)
Don't be surprised if it is. :)
If you're looking at a hosted solution for some reason, you may also want to consider http://www.spamsoap.com . It's the same price range, and I have first hand experience that they *really* don't like spam and dislike false positives just as much.
