Also you can setup Ipswitch's AntiSpam to be extremely effective all by itself.
We upgraded and have not had so much as a hiccup on our configuration (old PII 800 MHz system with 512MB and a 20GB drive with about 30 IP domains) and the AntiSpam is working fantastic with very few false positives (total of 48 in the past two weeks out of 41,368 pieces of mail delivered to users, 29,190 spam deleted for multiple DNSBL failures and 6,158 quarantined for failing IMail AntiSpam tests. Have not had one user complain about losing a piece of mail.

we have specifically refrained from upgrading from our awesomely stable version 7.15 because I've seen no evidence of full stability based on the posts to the list... HOWEVER, I am fully aware that the list here serves only for the voicing of problems, and rarely if ever do success stories get sent here. There could be many many stable iMail 8+ servers running right now and we'd not be really aware of it. But I think quite a few would agree that the posts here could be used as evidence that the latest upgrades have much higher potential for problems. Feel free to post contrary to this opinion, I'm not slamming anyone or any company including ipSwitch, just presenting our position at the moment. My advice at the moment to small shops that cant afford to fix what isn't broken (yet), if you are stable on iMail 7.15, stay on that version. If you need antispam, go with ASSP and/or mxGuard, you'll get what you need there.
