I want to ask the list about how big are their log files. Mine is getting bigger everyday because of more traffic and hosted email boxes. Now it is taking a while every time we want to see the log file to study a case or solve a customer question regarding an email he sent or receive.
How do you guys work with the log file.. do you use plain NotePad? If log files keep increasing in size due to having more and more customers and traffic, what about creating a log file for SMTP use and other for POP use. At least that will help reduce the log file individually. What do you think? Our log files are between 48 and 55 megs per day and we process between 15K and 20K emails per day. What is your average log file size? Just out of curiosity?
