Well, a week, two trouble tickets, and half a dozen multi-hour phone calls
with AOL and they still can't get the subnet mask right. We are still
getting reports for IP addresses not in the range we submitted.

Definitely need to police users that forward to AOL. Just this week we had
two users go to town on the AOL spam button for messages we were relaying.
We got hundreds of notifications from AOL. For one we removed the
forwarding, the other promised to stop...<grin>.

If only AOL would recognize other providers and skip a hop in their spam
count system.

For those that have customers with newsletters, you can also go to the
address below and apply to be on AOL's whitelist. One of our collocation
customers was successful is their application.

Note also that for us AOL has had a hard time getting the IP range correct.
They ended up giving us a full /24 instead on one of our /28s. So...we
ended up with a ton of notifications for someone else. A week later and
half a dozen multi-hour on-hold calls with AOL and I think (hope/pray) it's
taken care of. Anyway, beware...

Yep.

Did that yesterday.

An excellent idea. Thanks.
