>From what I discovered today. You want to avoid any resarts of any kind on the Imail side. Apache could care less since it's selective on what it responds to. And that was the entire point of my original post. Hate to say it but Ipswtich needs to consider changing their listening routine. This would be a great enhancement for a future release. Once I got my act together on the archive issue <DUH, but thanks to all who pointed out my DUH> I read the few posts (almost seemded to be in an antagonistic content, just my opinion) regarding this topic. With the speed and space I can create on one lone server it makes sense to load this up with as much as I can since we aren't trying to be the next Google IPO. I need to be in control and simply can't do that with the current Imail Web Messenging release. Apache is a trip on it's own but in the few months I've implemented it (use to run IIS) I've overcome insurmountable obstacles. Now I'm in love with Apache and have been with Imail on the POP3/SMTP side since we bought it a few years back.
In closing, thank you Sandy for your insight and Chris L. I'll be trying the scripts you both provided next week. So expect another <DUH> email in the short but immediate future. If you don't see an email by 5/6/2004 please call 911. No, on second thought, don't. It'll upset the family. They'll eventually find me. If you're using the monitor service you'll probably have to set them all to manual and let BAT start the Monitor which will fire up the others. Caveat here is a restart of one of the IMail services for whatever reason - it will see the new IP and pick it up and may fight with your other service over it? Thoughts?
