If you are cleaning funwebproducts from your system, remember to do a search in
the registry for this string. It inserts itself in over a dozen places that
AdAware 6.0 (current update) did not detect.

I went to the side for funwebproducts and it looked like the software had
already been uninstalled, but that entry was still appearing in the log
files. I had to go into the reg to remove the key. For future reference to
anyone who has this problem, I had funWebProducts in that location in the
reg.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet
Settings\User Agent\Post Platform

I run adaware almost every week as my pets err my sisters use my PC when I'm
not at home. Hmmm time to lock it up when I'm out I guess.

Three applications that are good for dealing with this type of software
(spyware/adware) are:

AdAware: http://www.lavasoft.com/
Spybot search and destroy: http://www.safer-networking.org/
HijackThis: http://download.com.com/3000-8022-10227352.html?tag=lst-0-1

Adaware and Spybot are pretty safe, in that it's difficult to
accidentally screw up your system. HijackThis will let you do damage,
though, so be careful.

Good luck.

Michael Hudson
