Snopes is on Ipswitch's URL Blacklist, as I indicated, not because they are 
on a public list.  Our rules require being found on at least two of the 
eight public lists we check.  We also continually update/remove domains 
from the list that Ipswitch publishes as part of their Anti-spam config 
files that they release every two weeks.

Are you sure it was caught by a black list and rejected because they have no
reverse dns? IMHO I wouldn't reject on a 'single' rbl but maybe 3 out of 5
checks.
