I'll try to answer your question with my knowledge
Yes you can send your news letter. I use the mailling list as a distribution list for internal annoncement in my compagny.
Yes thats exactly how I am setuped.. well were more than one to be allowed to post, but it can work for only one person.
That I don't know.. don't have them much people.
Yes subscriber list is a text file with 1 e-mail address per line.
That I never tried either. I never used to un/subscribing features of IMail
Maybe you could use script to edit the file automatically, to add or remove email address.
