Beware, there's no "free lunch". The connector shim that Ipswitch has licensed or purchased and is modifying to work with Imail IMAP server has per-client licensing fees.
I would expect the Imail connector to also have per-user fees. If you only need anti-virus and spam blocking, it is very cost-effective to front-end Exchange Servers with Imail/Declude running in store and forward/gateway mode. If you really need calendaring, then stay with exchange. No matter how "good" the Ipswitch connector may eventually be, if my clients really want Exchange I give them exchange, not an almost-working-clone which will always be problematic. "Oh, you mean I don't get Outlook Web Access with that too!" is just one of the tech support challenges you are setting yourself up for if you think you can replace Exchange with a shim. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of imail Sent: Tuesday, June 15, 2004 6:02 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [IMail Forum] Outlook calender intergration That looks interesting.
