IMail does remove the tags before checking the message for phrases.  For example, I just ran your message through and it was flagged due to a phrase.  Here's the log line: 06:16 07:43 SMTP(3269004c04d4e5ea) matched phrase [penis enlargement] Tripp   ----- Original Message ----- From: Aaron Main To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, June 16, 2004 12:15 AM Subject: [IMail Forum] Improvement to Spam Filtering As time goes on, spammers are learning how to get around spam filters.  Currently of the email I receive, about 90% is spam.   If Imail removed all HTML tags <>, prior to performing the phrase checking, then this would remove at least 70% more spam than it does now.
