When you paste, do you see the HTML tags (the greater than and less than
symbols)? If so, then that is what Outlook will send, not real html but
translated html so that tags show. The best test is to simply open a web
page (like www.yahoo.com), mark all or part of that page, copy and paste
directly into the message, you should see the text and formating exactly
like it appeared on the web browser. Then you will be sending raw HTML
formated text. Also, just try doing some formating within the outlook
message. Font changes, color, size, etc will be sent via HTML codes.

Just for thought, proper HTML formatting is always a mixed bag. Even the
differences between web browsers can make a big difference on the user side
(I.E. vs Mozilla for instance) I don't know how familiar you are with web
page coding, but most professional web pages start out checking what version
of browser just connected, and the reformat on the fly to ensure the page is
drawn as close to what the designer wanted it to look like.

Last, I fought a similar problem with another, not Imail, web mail product a
couple years ago. It did turn out to be a bug in the web mail software (It
would fail to transmit the message if certain tags were at the beginning of
the message, the user would only see a blank message even though it wasn't
blank) so do be sure to forward any of your findings to IPSwitch.

Scott,

default).

The problem is that my pasted HTML is sent as text even though MS Outlook
is, in fact, set to send HTML.

I have some clients complaining that their HTML emails don't appear
correctly within IMail Web Messaging.
