I run something similar with BIND 9.3.0rc2 and MS
DHCP form Windows NT 4.0. I have
never had a problem with it. Make
sure you set your lease time for something low so that the DNS records are
updated regularly. Also make sure
that all of your clients machines are set top update DNS via DHCP as well. Regards, Travis -----Original Message----- I know this is definately off topic, but
with all the service providers and consulting firms out on this list I figured
I'd toss this out. I inherited a network configuration that
is using MS Dhcp server (w2k) and Bind 9.2.3 build for W2k. Everything seems to work ok except I get
"leftovers" in the reverse file. Leftover - multiple names resolving
to the same IP. Any ideas on how to stop this would be
appreciated OR if you know of a tool which can rebuild the reverse from the
forward, let me know. |
