Thank you for your opinion about /why/ I'm doing what I'm doing, however, I happen to disagree with your view. Can you answer the question about how IMail handles deliveries?
Disagreement makes the world turn but you are definitely taking the wrong approach to the fight against spam and wasting valuable resources in the process. If you can justify that with your employer then more power to you.
I believe it was already mentioned that aliases are processed before rules. Have you tried placing a rule on the account that the catch-all is delivering to?
