Yes, that seems reasonable, however, it also allows the spammer to know which addresses work. By accepting everything, they can't remove addresses that don't exist and thus refine their list. It means more lines in my log files, but I'm hoping to do my part to fight spam.
FYI, a spammer *can* tell if an address exists or not, even if you use the "nobody@" alias (without even delivering the E-mail). IMail *does* provide that information (E-mail to an existing account has a different SMTP response than E-mail to a non-existent account). Most people don't realize this.
