I received a version of the ImailAPI.dll file to update our Imail setup that
is integrated with our hosting environment and was wondering about the dll
versions.

>From right-clicking tp properties->version on the dll files I find that the
version of ImailAPI.dll that is currently installed on our Imail server is
3.3.11.7 while the one recommended to install is version 3.1.29.33. This
seems strange that I would be going backward on version numbers here.

The 3.1.x.x version does have 8.05 as the product while 3.3.x.x version has
7.15 as the product (we are running 7.15). Can anyone give me a little
clearer picture with regard to the version numbering on the ImailAPI and
whether updating to the "newer" dll is appropriate?

Thanks,
