OK. I am going to ask a stupid question. Why do you want your server to accept a Null Sender?
Because that's just what the RFCs say. While "Null Sender" sounds like a bad thing, it's just part of how the Internet works. Specifically, it is used by bounce messages, delivery status notifications, and other automated messages. If you don't accept NULL senders, you don't accept bounce messages (which has the side-effect of making you a spammer, and getting listed in spam databases, and making other mailserver admins mad if they have to do your work for you).
