Hi scott, > It means that you would add "[192.0.2.25]" as a host alias to the kathy.com > domain (like you would add mail.kathy.com as a host alias if you wanted > IMail to treat E-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] the same as E-mail to > [EMAIL PROTECTED]). > > -Scott
Just tested it overhere, I have IMail 8.05 and I have *not* set aliases like that. Just sent a mail from my hotmail account to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and it arived without a problem. So it seems IMail 8.05 supports literals without anything extra needed by the admin. Or do you mean this is needed when a system is behind a NAT firewall, with the "real" ip-number as an alias? As that woudl not aplly to me. ;-) Met vriendelijke groet, Bonno Bloksma --- [E-mail scanned at tio.nl for viruses by Declude Virus] To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/
