Just tested it overhere, I have IMail 8.05 and I have *not* set aliases like
that. Just sent a mail from my hotmail account to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] and it arived without a problem. So it seems
IMail 8.05 supports literals without anything extra needed by the admin.

Or do you mean this is needed when a system is behind a NAT firewall, with
the "real" ip-number as an alias? As that woudl not aplly to me. ;-)
