Tools, options, maintence, store folder
move all the files in that directory to a safe location
Go into outlook express - will created the db and indexes.
re-import emails from safe location

or

download dbxtract
http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file_description/0,fid,23383,00.asp
extract all the emails
delete the files in the store folder
Go into outlook express - will created the db and indexes.
drag extracted emails back into outlook express
