As a result of taking more action against spam, I have been monitoring mail
headers. When comparing passed and failed mail, and the tests they failed,
I noticed something peculiar about mail being sent from our Imail server.

Some (not all) mail that we receive appears to be "sent" from the senders
local computer, and not the mail server itself. This also applies to mail
sent from/through our mail server. For example, if you take a look at the
headers of this very mail, two or three "received from"s down you will see
that this mail was received from mhiltner[66.whatever](my local PC behind
the router) and not mail.olivejar.net[66.166.107.118].

How can I go about changing this? What can I do to ensure that received
from will be the mail server and not the IP/machine name of those who send
mail?

I thought it had to do with relaying, but I only have relaying allowed for a
few local web servers (phpsendmail, aspmail, CDONTS scripts), so I don't
think this is the issue.

Any ideas?
