We used this fax gateway for some time. It uses plaintext.
No MS File Formats (Word, Excel), No HTML, No RTF, No PDF,
No fancy stuff, No nothing. However, you can define a 200dpi bmp,tif or pcx cover page.
Dynamic Fax numbers must be on the Subject line of the Mail as FAXNUM=1234567
If you want a fullblown fax solution supporting fancy formats and including fax printer
support, look at other solutions. We use the one from GFI.

The documentation covered attachments well enough but not about the body of
the email.
