1. They are too expensive 2. They consistently try to push through rules and regulations that are bad for the Internet and their competitors but are good for them 3. They try to deceive customers and ex-customers into believing that services are about to expire when they aren't. This causes people to renew services with them (or transfer services to them) when it isn't necessary. 4. They are often obstructionist when trying to move services away from them. 5. Their customer service stinks. When something goes wrong with a domain name, you need to get the problem sorted out ASAP. However, their customer service can be so bad that it can take dozens of calls and over many days to sort out the most simple problem. Did I miss anything? :-) For what it is worth, I believe they have gotten somewhat better on nearly every point over the last year or so. However, I still feel there are much better choices out there.
