I also echo Jason's sentiments, and have wondered why more would be willing to 'forgive and forget' should Ipswitch (or DIPSwitch as they're known around our office) change their minds back. We quit upgrading at v8.05 after we found numerous problems with their web interface. When trying to work with their tech support, many answers were that it was hard coded into the system and that they'd put have to put in a change request to accommodate our needs (our setup is very web intensive, and we found numerous problems once we got above 50 concurrent connections). Lurking on the lists up to this announcement has confirmed that we made the right decision to stop upgrading at version 8.05, and with this announcement has confirmed our decision to change to a different mail server product. Of all the products we've looked at, Merak Mail has impressed us the most, although we will check some of the other products posted on this list.
Jim ~~~~~ Yes, In my mind it is too late for them. They 'could' reverse their decision and not go in this direction, but the trust is gone now, and they give us no reason to think that they won't do this in the future. I've got better things to do than go shopping for new mail server software, so it's going to happen 1 time, and the time is now. C ya later IPSwitch. By the way, as a result of this poor decision we will no longer recommend ANY of your products. Scott, It would make everyone's day if you were to release an MTA :) Jason To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/
