So I think it is safe to say that Ipswitch made the decision to do this, knowing that they would abandon 90% of their customers, and are sticking by that decision.
Mustang Software aka WildcatBBS did the same thing to their customers in 1996 (well, sort of... very long story). That was why we found Imail. Mustang is no longer around... and they had similar backlash by existing customers. Unfortunately for Mustang, we were right.
