How many domains are you hosting?
How many emails a day do you process?
How many users?
Why is binding outgoing IP address important for what you are doing?
Do you run a virus checker on your mail server? Any problems with SmarterMail and the virus checker?
Can you give your users ftp access to the raw mailing lists?

In fact the only thing I don't like about it is it doesn't bind the outgoing IP for IP based sites. One reason I still have a couple domains on Imail.
Also just as an fyi these guys have very good prices on SmarterMail http://www.helmtastic.com/ - $199 for unlimited domains. In fact I bought serv-u, mailenable and lots of stuff... they've got great prices.
