Bill,

I'm not sure that I get this.  Are you reaching out because you messed up and just realized how badly you messed up, or are you still thinking that we will all drink the ICS Kool-Aid and love every bit of it?

If it's the latter, it doesn't matter if it spits out gold nuggets, I don't have $4,995 to spend on it, and I certainly won't be spending that on a mail server, let alone one produced by Ipswitch.  Has anyone actually purchased this yet?  Do you really expect the type of folks that make up your traditional customer base to be "clamoring" to spend 10 times more for a mail server; keeping in mind that for the most part, that's all we were interested in.

I'm just worried that someone there still thinks that 'we' are the target market for ICS, when all we really are is a group of your former customers, and not by choice initially.

Matt

A quick note from the Ipswitch Executive Team:

We really do appreciate the input we’re receiving from IMail users about ICS.  We understand that some of you are unhappy about our decision, and a variety of suggestions are being considered.  Ipswitch is trying hard to balance the needs of both the current user base and the new users we are now attracting to ICS.

Everyone’s situation is a bit different, and some misconceptions have been posted to the Forum.  If you have questions about your particular circumstances, pricing and functionality details, ideas for us to consider, or would just like to chat, the Ipswitch Executive team would be happy to hear from you.  eMail and blogging have their place, but sometimes telephones are more effective.

At the end of the day, we hope to convince you that ICS is a good thing, because it ensures an aggressive development future for IMail, and protects your investment in Ipswitch messaging infrastructure.  We’ve spoken to many people who have downloaded ICS, and they are extremely pleased with it.
