Hang on there folks!  Don't get yourselves all warm and fuzzy just yet.  I don't recall anything being said about sparing anyone the death penalty and we sure wouldn't want people driving off bridges come Monday evening.  However, considering what could happen next week, I feel Ipswitch should step up to the plate and do the right thing.  God help us if Ipswitch doesn't return a favorable verdict AND Kerry wins.  That would be way too much for anyone to handle in a single week.

I think it's cool to know they are watching the list.  I wasn't worried about them closing the list (sorry, Len, but I think that's just paranoia), but I wasn't sure they bothered to watch the list.  Or perhaps they just had a rule "complaint messages go into the Complaints folder, to be reviewed sometime in 2005", somewhat like I have Declude do with high-rated spam messages.  Bill's email is reassuring, whether or not he comes out with an acceptable plan on Monday.

Subject: [IMail Forum] Ipswitch -is- Listening

Ipswitch has no plans to kill, censor or modify the IMail Forum.  Free speech is a good thing, even if its not necessarily what one wants to hear.  The Forum provides a significant, unique service to the IMail user base and, once we resolve the IMail-to-ICS issues, we expect it to continue to provide a valuable service.

We -are- listening carefully to the Forum postings, other emails, phone calls, etc.  Your input is important to us.  A course of action is being planned in response to your concerns and suggestions, and we will post a detailed message by Monday night.
