The log transaction is suspicious, too. It shows the mail comming in, say 1997 bytes. Then, after anti-spam checks, it does an ldeliver to the customer-main box of 0 bytes.

It is almost 100% certain that *something* is causing the D*.SMD file to be deleted, moved, or otherwise truncated.


In most cases, this is due to AV software (which would delete the file) or possibly low hard drive space (although that should show as 0 bytes coming in, not 1997). Have you triple-checked that there isn't an on-access virus scanner running on the server (make sure to check the "systray" -- the small little icons in the lower-right side of the screen next to the time).
