Um...dude...imail.com never worked. I've typed it in accidentally when
trying to go to the ipswitch site. Ipswitch.com is the correct site. Personally, I think that the company should be put on suicide watch, but that's what they've decided to do. For anyone who doubts this, just try going to http://www.imail.com . I think that pretty much sums up Imail's future.William Van Hefner Network Administrator Vantek Communications, Inc.-----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] On Behalf Of Ted Galerneau Sent: Monday, November 29, 2004 8:59 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [IMail Forum] some misconceptions corrected Time is running our for the less expensive Service Agreement (saving $200) offer that Ipswitch made. I am not convinced just yet of their recent decision hasn't put them in dire straights financially and/or if they will be actively asserting themselves to upgrade the core enough to make it even worthwhile. If they lose enough business they could end up bankrupt and if they are I'm not so sure they can be forced to honor the contracts. Then again I am not a lawyer but have one if he's ever needed! I may give him a call and pose this question to him should I decide to stall the inevitable for another year and purchase one before the end of December :) What I find as most disturbing is the new Ipswitch policy of a case by case decision of if and person or entity can purchase just the core for future upgrades. If a new colo client may want to run his own email server, will we need to move to another product? If so I would want to move it all to the new product and only need to read one support forum? IMHO, it's either for sale or it isn't, and how much money we have or how we are going to use it is none of their business as long as we respect the licensing agreements. <snip> I'm not going to allow myself to get all bowed up about this again! I'll either move on or just shut up about it!
