If it is related to a particular question or problem raised by a list member I would agree...but since he posted an unsolicited advertisement, I think it was totally inappropriate.  There are a number of other people on this list with various solutions, but they only mention them when it is appropriate to solve a problem...or perhaps have a link in their standard email signature.
 
Those people also provide much value in their contributions to the list.  Mr. Evans Martin has provided little or no value, and just uses the list to market his products.

I think that considering that this product is entirely related to the subject of this list, sending such things should be ok just so long as it remains entirely informational.  That means leaving out all of the purchasing info.  I took note that this message wasn't anywhere near as pushy as the first was several weeks ago.

I say this because I believe that it is important that people who use this product or are otherwise interested be able to see what has changed, and this list is a good place for that, though it shouldn't be used to broadcast sales related material.

Who knows, maybe I'm in the minority here.
