Actually,  it's  anything  _but_  mail.domain.com  that is used as the
routing  domain  (the target domain in the aliases). The assumption is
that  mail.domain.com  (or  storeforward.domain.com, my preference) is
used  as  the IMail virtual host, with domain.com as a host alias. You
use  a  _third_ domain is the routing domain: this domain is not local
to  IMail at all, by definition. One way to kludge up a routing domain
is to use the source-routing form @[EMAIL PROTECTED], where 1.2.3.4
is the Exchange server.

Hmm.  . . if Nick's already running a dedicated IMail MX, it's simpler
to  plug  in  ex2a than to change everything over to MS SMTP with ORF.

True,  once  you're  running  MS SMTP, ORF's built-in Exchange sync is
very  helpful.  And with 1MM RCPTs/day and no local mailboxes, MS SMTP
would be a better choice for an MX.
