the IP shouldn't matter. all of your applications should be contacting Imail via hostnames, not via IP addresses.
I realize there are some config changes to Imail
only two changes in Imail. Imail DNS uses the IMGate DNS, and Imail outbound gateway send to IP of IMGate
but seems to me less labor intensive than changing 100's of domain records.
if your 100's of zone were set up correctly:
anydomain.com. 10 MX mx1.ISPdomain.com.
... then you don't change ANYthing in the 100's of domains, you change only the IP of mx1.ISPdomain.com.
