As a matter of policy on my servers I DO NOT delete email. I segregate it either to a single box for the domain or to a spam box for the user. Also by policy I let nothing stay in the spam box more than 7 days. User who think something was flagged as spam can log in to their spam box or view it with web messaging to check.
