Since they now also strip out all headers (they used to leave headers intact
so we used Declude's customer header ability to note the intended
recipient), the best thing to do is include an unsub link that has a unique
identifier for the particular user.  Not sure if your mailing list
subscription system will do that for you, but a lot of them on the market
will do that.

Anyone have advice how to determine by checking the mail servers logs who
an email was sent to at AOL since AOL removes the address in their
notifications?

For example:  I sent out on a subscription list for our local car club an
email notifying our members that a new newsletter was available and got a
TOS notice back.  The included header from AOL is:
