Eric S,

I'm having problems with sending to hotmail and with receiving mail from hotmail. Only sending is failing.

You can adjust the receive timeout that IMail uses by adding the DWORD value
RECVTimeout in the HKLM\System\CCS\services\smtpd32\parameters key. the
default value is 120 which =12.0 sec. I usually adjust this up to 300 which
is 30.0 sec...A good way to SWAG a setting is to telnet to the MX and see
how long it takes from the time it connects until you get the 220 banner.

same reported in the Imgate list.

msn/hotmail MXs seem to be overwhelmed, and either not accepting
connections on port 25 after several minutes, or timing out within the
SMTP
dialog.

With Imails long time outs, there's not much you can if an MX isn't
working.
