1. Email comes in and the infected attachment file is in the spool
2. Spool places the infected file in the mbx in your user account
3. "Real-time" virus scanner sees that your mbx file now contains an infection
4. Anti-virus tries to fix the infection
5. Nothing to fix it is just a bogus infected file
6. Delete the infected mbx file
7. Check mail = ALL messages deleted
