Some have it set to 100, but I know one person who has trouble if he checks
more than 10 boxes at a time; this seems consistent whether he's displaying
20, 50, or 100. That person is on a somewhat tenuous modem connection
though. When I log into the same account from here (on a very close
network to the POP server), I can delete 100 at a time through webmail.

I've had problems with my webmail preferences set to display the maximum
of 100. Not all of the selected emails would be deleted. Once I set my
preferences to 50 this problem seems to have gone away for me.
