Just narrowing this down a bit...
http://www.dnsreport.com/tools/dnsreport.ch?domain=madriveraccess.com
Seems that the receiving server's NS1 is down (times out), but NS2 is alive and responding appropriately. IMail doesn't seem to be able to query the second NS record after it receives a time out on the first and is bouncing the E-mail message without an error in the logs, but an "Unknown Host" error in the postmaster message.
Other servers from different platforms aren't being affected it seems, only IMail is definitely, (and possibly only my IMail installation). Could it be that IMail isn't attempting to retry the lookup on the second NS record before failing the message??? Or maybe there is a error in the config of the name servers that is highlighting itself through this behavior not experienced consistently across all platforms?

I'm trying to figure out what is going on with my E-mail bouncing to a friend's server. IMail typically logs a reason, i.e. the error code and response, but nothing appears for this one. The issue is also not transient for me when it comes to this one domain, though a test from a Web mail provider seems to have gone through or at least didn't bounce back yet. I can also send E-mail to other domains, just not this one. Here's my log snippet.

A telnet session to both of the receiving server's MX records works just fine (tested up until the DATA command would be sent). I'm a bit stumped as to whether this is my problem or the other server's problem, and I would appreciate any insight into what conditions might cause IMail to log nothing but return a message (DNS failure maybe).
Thanks,
Matt
