Use another Mail Client then Outlook (Express and other mailers who
open html mails even in preview mode with the IE Browser DLLs) to prevent this.

If you use e.g. TheBat! you can decide if you open the HTML atachments
and it will prevent any script to run or download any additional
components (like tracking gifs etc.)

(I think I should start to sell this program, as much as I advertise
it's benefits...)
